“Three times I was shipwrecked; for a night and a day I was adrift at sea” 2 Corinthians 11:25 (NRSV). Paul did not have Jesus walking on the water to him in the storm, and he himself did not walk on water. He came through the storm shipwrecked. Have you ever been there? Your boat wrecked. You fought to keep your head above the water. Nobody rescued you. You swam for shore. Sometimes the miracle is to survive, holding to a piece of wood, and later thinking what it all means while you try to dry out on the beach.
