Be sure your theology is shaping more than your mind.  If it is not shaping your behavior, it is a hollow exercise in mental gymnastics.  Sound teaching is to lead us to maturity.  Good words are to lead us to the good, in order to do and be good.  Our doctrine should move us more on the way of holiness and more toward what John calls “love made perfect”.  Father, help me learn so that I may deepen my relationship with You.

“Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity” Hebrews 6:1a (NASB)
