In our emphasis on grace we sometimes make it only about God seeking us. The Scriptures implore us to seek God. Daniel said, “So I gave my attention to the Lord God to seek Him by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth and ashes (9:3 NASB). We are never to stop seeking the One who never stops seeking us. He wants us to seek Him with our whole heart and soul. He promises that when we do, then we will find Him (Deut 4:39). This is to be the highest priority of our lives.
“And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.” Heb 11:6 (NASB)
