We are possessed by several security needs.  We want a secure job, a secure place to live, a secure relationship and a secure future.  What we must understand is that our security is not in material things and earthly relationships.  Though we have a job, the Lord is our Provider.  Though we have friends, Jesus is the Friend that sticks closer than a brother.  Though we have a roof over our head, the Lord is our Home and in Him we abide.  The Lord Himself is our ultimate security.

“The LORD is my light and my salvation– whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life– of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1 (NIV)
