“For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope” Rom 15:4 (ESV). The Scriptures are written to bring us to Messiah and to instruct us in His ways. We need this Book to know how to live. We need the Spirit of this Book to “guide us into all truth” (Jn 16:13). The promises of the Book reaffirm our hope in the Lord, who gives us hope in all of our circumstances by His resurrection from the dead.
