Advent Glimpses of our Future
Ruling with Christ in the new creation echos the original stewardship mandate given in Genesis for the first earth (Genesis 1:28–29). This is not a great power grab for the power hungry. This is meek folks inheriting the earth. This is Jesus’ helpers helping Jesus. He will prepare us and show us how. It will not look like the politics of this world. It will look like Jesus’ kingdom principles of righteousness and justice flooding the earth, and we will have a little part in that big project. Satan, the god of this world will be cast out along with his political maneuvers; everything will be under the new management of King Jesus and His saints.
