We cannot truly get our relationships with our fellow humans right until we get our relationship right with God. He is the One we are to love and serve with our whole being. This is the foundation of putting things right with ourselves and with each other. The further we get away from God the more there is break down in our relationships with each other. I am to love God and all of His other children. Remember the Great Commandment. When we have a faulty view of God, our own self, and our neighbor then we cannot apply this commandment. If we live with the commandment long enough it will correct all of those faulty views.
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these” Mark 12:30-31 NRSV).
