If we must have someone to despise or hate, it should reveal to us that we are not yet like our Lord. Hate belongs to another kingdom. Hate belongs to the realm of death. Jesus triumphed over hate. His resurrection proves it. When we are risen from the dead with Him, we will seek those things which are above. We will live by the higher. We will live by love, which triumphs over hate. If He “lives within my heart,” then love is enthroned there.
“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” Col 3:1-3 (NKJV)
