Someone from the outside is often needed for a rescue. There are fire rescues, water rescues, and searches for the lost that are all about helping folks, who in a calamity can’t get themselves to safety. The Good Shepherd pulled us up from the precipice of death. Our Warrior King broke our chains and crashed down the prison doors. When we could not free ourselves, He came to us. He came to us through those He sent. He calls us to participate with Him in this mission of rescue.
“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to rescue that which was lost.” Luke 19:10
