Repentance and salvation are joined. “For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation” 2 Corinthians 7:10a (NRSV). We come to Christ acknowledging our sins by confession and turning from them by repentance. The Father’s opened arms receive us. Angels rejoice. By this we enter the Kingdom and the Kingdom enters us. The old has passed away and the new has come.
