When we sit as gods on the throne, we cannot forgive others, though we need forgiveness. On our throne, we demand perfection from others, though we are not perfect. We insist on special honor though we do not honor God ourselves. When we depose ourselves from the throne to the cross, then we will forgive. We will not use our position for power, but instead we will use it for service. We will admit our imperfection and we will seek the honor and glory of God alone.
“Let them praise the name of the LORD, For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above earth and heaven.” Psalm 148:13 (NASB)
