Did I love the people who crossed the path of my life? Did I go out of the way to lend a helping hand? Did I look past flaws to love? Did I see Jesus in the faces of the last and the least? Did I come to love out of obedience to Jesus, or did I love until it became my transformed nature? Did I let the greatness of God’s love for me make me like Him in my world? When I stand before Him, will I wish I had loved more and given myself more generously? These questions trouble me. May I do today what I will wish I had done when I stand before Him.
Lord, grant me the grace of Your Spirit that I might finish the course Jesus set for me by walking in the footprints He left me. Amen!
