The Messiah is not going to surrender His good creation to systemic evil and walk away from it. He is going to redeem creation and “make all things new.” There will be a new heaven and a new earth, wherein dwells the right and He will declare it good, as at the beginning. Then there will be great rest for all of creation and all of God’s creatures, like that for which we have always longed. The hand of the Lord will accomplish this.
“The wolf and the lamb will graze together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox; and dust will be the serpent’s food. They will do no evil or harm in all My holy mountain,” says the Lord. Isaiah 65:25 (NASB)
