The Savior not only came to rescue and reconcile sinners, He came to reconcile and rescue all of creation.  He is not going to hand His creation over to the forces of darkness and evil; He is not going to abandon it.  He has a plan, “according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth” (Ephesians 1:9b-10 ESV).  God was and is “reconciling the world to himself in Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:19).  He wants to make you and me new creations ready for coming New Creation.

Father, thanks for your unrelenting faithfulness to restore all things.  Thank You for Your promise of “a new heavens and a new earth wherein dwells righteousness” (2 Peter 3:13).  Amen!
