The act of receiving Jesus is a responsive act to One who has already received us. The One who loves His enemies does not “non-elect” any of them. He practices what He preaches, “Love your enemies”. He came to save and receive a world that was hostile to Him. You have a right to be a child of God because He gave us that right. We are all His children of God by creation; we are His children in a glorious sense by redemption. Receive the One who now receives you; discover the One who is already working in you by grace.
“He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.” John 1:11-12 (NASB)
