The ultimate meaning of the Bible is Jesus Christ. He is the fulfillment of all the prophetic words, symbols and types. He is the Seed of Abraham; He is the Son and Lord of David. He is the promised Messiah who came to set up David’s unending Kingdom. He is the sacrificial Lamb, the Altar, the High Priest and Temple all in one. He came to reveal the Father, correcting misunderstandings and showing us that God is love. He is the second Adam leading us to a better Eden; He is the Creator who is leading us to New Creation. The OT points like an arrow to Messiah; He who was the Hope of Israel is revealed to be the Hope of the whole world. Read the Bible until you see Messiah; read it until it makes your heart race, your eyes weep, and your voice shout for joy.
