The first Sunday of Advent focuses on being ready for the return of our Messiah. ”But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone” Matthew 24:36 (NASB). The Messiah came unrecognized by the political and religious authorities of his day, because they had embraced a bad “prophecy chart”. Jesus did not fit the chart. They rejected Him. He is set to return at the command of His Abba! It is not our duty to figure out how, nor when, with our “perfect chart”, but just be ready. Watch! Pray! Be about your Master’s business! Then you will not be ashamed at His appearing.
