God is certainly more than “The Force”. He is a personal God. But having said that, energy radiates from God like the light rays that radiate from the sun. His energy maintains creation (Col 1:17). This radiating energy was true of the Son of God as well. A woman was healed by touching Jesus’ coat. He said, “Someone touched me; for I noticed that power had gone out from me” Luke 8:46 (NRSV). Jesus felt the energy that went out from Him. The woman was transformed by this energy from a long standing illness. The Holy Spirit is now the point at which Jesus touches us and the way we touch Him. Never underestimate what can happen through the energy of the Spirit.
