In prayer we love on our Father and He loves on us; prayer is intimacy with God.  Prayer is where we work on the relationship; it is where we receive forgiveness for the things that have hindered the relationship.  In prayer we love on folks by our intercession for them.  Praying for enemies is an act of love that transforms the pray-er to be more loving.  Prayer is the secret place that prepares our own hearts to love as we go from the prayer closet into the arena of life with all of its interactions.

“Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let those who love Your salvation say continually, ‘The LORD be magnified!’” Psalm 40:16 (NASB)
