It is easier to talk about prayer than to pray.  It is easier to solicit prayer for the requests we pass on than to be a person of prayer ourselves.  Prayer requires that we engage our spirit with the Spirit of our Father.  We approach Him with awe for the King and with affection for our Father.  We bow before Him making our request known.  We intercede with more than passing thoughts.  We talk to Him; we silently listen to Him.  Worship is being in the presence of God to praise Him.  Intercession is being in the presence of God on behalf of another.  Prayer is being in the presence of God for real conversation.

“Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.” Luke 18:1 (NIV)
