“I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.” (Psalm 145:1-3 ESV). King Jesus deserves our verbal praise; He is worthy. Remember this, we can not only praise Him with our voice, we can praise Him with our thoughts and deeds. Praise begins in the way we think about God. It finds expression in our voice. Praise is also to put into practice the instructions of Jesus about serving. Do all you do as unto the Lord; this is praise that warms His heart.
“Render service with enthusiasm, as to the Lord and not to men and women” (Ephesians 6:7 NRSV).
