Christian perseverance is persistence with faith in it. It may involve suffering, fatigue and fear, but it keeps on going. It has a goal in mind, an end in view. The believer looks to the Lord and endures. Perseverance builds a legacy and blazes a trail that can be followed. Perseverance often trumps talents, gifts and training. You need it for every task and for life itself. Fix your eyes on the goal and do not waver from its pursuit.
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” James 1:2-4 (NIV)
