Perception became depression for Elijah. He thought that the glory days of Israel were gone. The king and queen were a hopeless mess. Israel was going to hell in a Baal basket. Godly men and women can fall prey to a perception that produces depression. God’s cure: Stand in your dark cave until you hear a voice that whispers. There were more assignments for the prophet. Seven thousand who had not bowed to Baal needed encouragement. May we all know that things are seldom as we perceive them. God still has a program and a plan. Let that focus your perception.
