“The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made” (Psalm 145:8-9 ESV). Think about our King. Gracious. Merciful. Slow to anger. Abounding in love. Steadfast love. Good to all. Not just some. His mercy is over all His creation. Where would we be if He preferred justice to mercy? Where would we be without steadfast love? The greatest revelation of the mercy of God is the gift of Jesus Christ; His death on the cross is just that. By that mercy and grace sinners are rescued, redeemed and righted in relationship to the Father.
