The understanding of a child is not the same as an adult.  The comprehension of the untrained is not the same as the ones who have been taught.  The development of the novice is not the same as the accomplished.   The catechumen is not nearly so schooled as the theologian.  The maturity of the beginner is not the same as the seasoned saint.  The God we serve knows where we are bends to our limitations; He comes to us where we are to bring us to where we need to be.  His discipline is always seasoned; His patience is always appropriate.  Our Father loves us where we are to bring us to where He wants us to be.

“The LORD is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him.  For he knows how weak we are; he remembers we are only dust.” Psalm 103:13-14 (NLT)
