Jesus Christ is the foundation of the faith we hold. He is God’s chosen Son, the descendent of David, the promised Messiah. Some have built their faith on emotions, new doctrines, speculations, hope of heaven, high moral standards, special gifts, etc. Christ is our indisputable head, the center and firm foundation of faith. A substitute is an idol. It will not prepare us to rightly live our lives now nor to face Him on that great day.
