We all are marked by the genetics of our ancestors.  We have been shaped by positive and negative forces.  We have made choices that have gone into making us who we are.  We may have emotional scars and bitter memories.  We have our joys mixed with our sorrows.  We have personality traits that may or may not serve us well.  This is our baggage.  All of us have it.  We need to be as patient with other folk’s baggage as we want them to be with ours.  That is the patience that works by love.

“Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.” Romans 13:8 (ESV)
