Those of us who may have compulsive tendencies have to be careful of what drives us and how we are driven. We must know that this drivenness may make us do lots of good things, even for the Lord. But what we want to happen is for us to be motivated by love rather than our psychological compulsions. For this to happen we often have to push the pause button, stop and pray, listen to our hearts, but mostly listen to the Spirit. It is true that neurotic folks get things done, but it is also true that those empowered and directed by the Spirit get more done.
