Being made in the Divine Likeness, our lives should accurately reflect the God who is.  This is the aim of the grace of sanctification.  The problem becomes that we let the mirror get dirty, smeared by the stuff of ourselves.  We want too much to be seen, to be admired, to be right, to win, and a host of other motives and actions that dirty the mirror.  We need a deeper cleansing from our defensiveness; we need to be freed from our brandished swords.  We need to be lambs that follow the Lamb; we need to be focused mirrors that reflect the Light.

“So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.”  2 Corinthians 3:18 (NLT)
