Advent Glimpses of our Future
The day is coming when tears will be gone, along with all the reasons that tears are with us. The healing miracles of The Great Physician restored lost health; these miracles anticipated new creation. One day all disease will be banished and health and wholeness will reign it its place. Never will we follow behind a coffin with our tears salting the ground; never will we bend our shoulder to carry the burden of a shattering diagnosis or an incurable disease. Hospice will be no more; funeral directors will be out of business. Aging will be no more; we will all live eternally in resurrected bodies that will always be in their prime.
“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4 (ESV)
