The Helper
I need help in remembering and applying the words of Jesus to my life. I need a resident teacher in my soul. I need a peaceful center in a world of trouble. Since Jesus has been lifted up, I need the Spirit whom He sent down. I need Him to so fill me with Himself that His Presence expels from me all things not like Him. I need the love of God to be broadly dispensed to every room of my heart and mind so that the Great Commandment is truly my way of living. Come Holy Spirit, I need You!
“These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” John 14:25-27
