Learning in Hardship
“I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:12-13 NLT2). Some of the greatest lessons in life are learned through hardship; the difficult has a way of being a superb teacher. This is not a problem-free world; get over it. The people around us can create difficult situations for us, and if we will be honest, we have sometimes created difficulty for them. So in that humility, forgive, let go, and first and foremost, draw on a strength that is not your own, the strength of Christ. Have you learned that? Do you need to relearn that? I do. I need help with that.
