There is a saying of Jesus that we find outside of the four gospels. “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Don’t sit around and wait for a blessing; don’t make your prayers all about asking for blessings. If you want to be blessed then give yourself in love and service to another; blessings will come. You can call it blessing-bounce-back. This is not about giving to get, but is about learning that the act of giving is the blessing.
