Many non-Christians are kind, courteous, good, generous and humane. Don’t call yourself a Christian if you do not aspire to practice these things. It hurts the name of our Lord and is a misrepresentation of Him and of Christianity. Your testimony of Him can be tainted when you act and react in non-Christlike ways. No one will care about your high sounding words about Jesus, or you churchliness if your words and ways are unkind.
Dear Jesus, forgive us for the times that we hurt your story by the way we lived our story. May we live in such a way that our lives, with all of their words and actions, will draw others to You. We do not want to offend one of the least of these who might come to believe in You.
