Advent Glimpses of our Future
Jesus Christ is the great uniter. He reconciles God and sinners. He is going to reconcile Heaven and earth. Heaven, depicted as the New Jerusalem, will descend to the earth prepared as a bride for this great marriage. We know that Christ is the groom married to the church, but we also must know that on that great day heaven will be married to earth for our resplendent future. In the fullness of time, He is going to join it all together. I can’t explain how it is going to be, but my heart shouts, “It is true.” All the best we feel about earth and all the best we feel about heaven will come together at the same time and we will bask in its awesome wonder!
