Some of the things we have gone through were so confusing. They may have brought us to the brink of despondency. We dealt with unplanned events, disappointments and heartaches. The decisions that others made crashed in on us. Yet, in all of these things, we found that God was doing a refining work in us. We have the overwhelming sense that Someone was at work in our pain. A great mystery: The God who does not cause all things works in all things to make the broken ones whole.
