Life brings with it high times and low times. We tend to make these times a barometer of our relationship with God. We do not want to make that mistake. This is not a measure of God’s blessings or non-blessing. Emotions, body chemistry, illness, life events, circumstances and many more things fuel highs and lows. The Spirit of God is not a puppet Who is pulled around by our highs and lows. God is with us at all times. His love assures that our Shepherd is very near at those times when we struggle.
“He became their Savior. In all their troubles, he was troubled, too. He didn’t send someone else to help them. He did it himself, in person. Out of his own love and pity he redeemed them. He rescued them and carried them along for a long, long time.” Isaiah 63:8b-9 (MSG)
