In the end we will be judged by how much we loved (Matthew 25:37-40).  To get there we will have to discover how much we are loved.  Jesus did not come to love His friends only, but His enemies.  He came to the outsiders, the rejected, the outcast, the sinners, the lost, the undone, and the helpless.  Do we have the foggiest idea how much God loves each and every one of us?  He demonstrated this great love by the incarnation, the cross, His suffering, His resurrection; He does it by the daily overtures of His bountiful grace and patient mercy through the Holy Spirit. Go with the love wherewith your are loved and love much; love with your whole being: heart, soul, mind and body.  This is the Great Commandment and how we did it will be our great evaluation.

“For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.  For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die.  But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:6-8 NASB)
