Love transforms the receiver of love.  We have been transformed by the Love of God.  We transform others by giving love.  The truth is, people are made normal by love and become abnormal in the absence of it.  This is certainly observable in the lives of healthy families and dysfunctional families.  The crucifixion of Jesus was a rejection of His kingship by the world, yet it ironically was an act of redeeming love when He laid down His life for all.  Since love has transformed us, we are commissioned to be change-agents, laying down our lives in love to transform others.

“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.  And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.” 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 (NIV)
