The reception of the Holy Spirit is a baptism in the love of God. He is the God who loves enough to give us not only His Son but His very own Spirit. He is the God who fills us with Himself so we can learn to love like He loves. The Spirit enables us to be God’s image bearers in creation. Nothing demonstrates the image of God like the love of God. To be filled with the Spirit is to be filled with God who is love. Spirit, fill me anew! Amen!
