Love caused the Father to send the Son. Love caused the Son to go to the cross. The Holy Spirit enters our lives to shed abroad the love of God in us for the mission. Evangelism that is motivated by power, for money, for numbers, for influence and prestige is foreign to the New Testament. Our mission must be inspired by the love of God, driven by our love for Him and love for our neighbor.
