Mother Teresa wanted people in her life to be “victims of her love.” Genuine love for people who enter our lives should draw them into God’s love. Love has a way of rescuing, giving meaning and purpose. True love models love and propagates itself by example. The love of God is “a fragrant aroma” that captivates and frees the captives. It gives meaning and steers us toward hope and home. It pulls us to the high, the good and the noble.
“Walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.” Ephesians 5:2 (NASB)
