Jude gives us an interesting little reminder when he said, “Keep yourselves in God’s love.”  Of course, God’s love is always flowing out to us, but there is a discipline of living in a conscious reality of it.  There is also a discipline of not allowing ourselves to fall into non-loving ways.  There is a self-training that creates the habit of always seeking to act in love to those we touch daily.  This discipline involves both the love we receive and the love we give.  Without constantly celebrating the unconditional love we receive, it is hard to give it to others.

“But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.  Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.” Jude 1:20-21 (NIV)
