It is one thing to say an occasional “Thank you” and it is quite another to live a life of gratitude.  I find myself asking, “Did I remember to say, ‘Thank you’?”  We train our children to do that so that as adults it will become a natural response. Most of all, we need to be grateful to our Father. Gratitude needs to be mixed with humility; gratitude bows before the giver.  The prideful and self-centered struggle with sincere gratitude.  We all receive things from God and His children for which we should be thankful.  Move from a childlike “Thank you” to a mature adult heart that makes gratitude a way of life.

“In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NASB)
