It is not possible for the vast majority of believers to live in a cloistered spirituality in a lonely desert place. It is possible to live the routines of your daily life in connection with the Presence of the Lord. It is possible to live a life set apart to Him on your job, even while you are living it in an increasing secular culture. This can be done by praying without ceasing, rejoicing evermore and giving thanks in all things (I Thess 5:16-18). It can be done by constant dependence on Him and serving Him in all we do.
