We should live toward what we really believe. Belief must be transformed into action. Good thoughts should become good deeds. We need to act out what we believe. The will is required, but willpower is not enough. We need the Holy Spirit to help us live out what we say we believe. We need the power of God to translate our faith into works and our love into service.
But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I by my works will show you my faith. James 2:18 (NRSV)
