The apostle John said of Jesus, “In Him was life.” Jesus said of Himself, “I am the resurrection and the life.” These words were demonstrated at His resurrection. Without Him we have no life in ourselves. Eternal life is to have the Life of Jesus come into us and make us truly alive. We do not wait for a future life that comes from Jesus; we enter its abundance, richness and mystery even now.
