Life is about testing. Just as we had to pass tests to get through school, so we have to pass tests to get through life. Life will test who or what we really love. Fire can refine and test the quality of metal. Problems can test what makes us really tick. Choices test our values. Money will test to see if we are going to be greedy or generous. Depravation will test our contentment. Trials will test our testimony. Tribulation will test our patience. Tests are real. Faith will get us through.
“In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 1:6-7 (ESV)
