Sometimes we seek divine guidance that never seems to come. We ask for an answer, and get silence. Might this, within itself, be leadership? What if God is waiting to see what we will do out of love? What if He is maturing us without filling in every little detail of our lives? What if He is teaching us responsibility? What if He wants us to use our will to make free choices based on our own developing character? No, we never walk on our own. But there are many times God is waiting for us to do His teaching and to put into practice the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.
Dear Lord, forgive us for asking you to do what you have already commanded us to do. May the fullness of your Spirit in us work in seamless ways through our personality to do your work. When your work is all around us, may we, as your representatives in the world, do it with all of our hearts. Amen!
