A police car was in front of me, waiting for the light to change. I offered a short prayer for this officer and all others. We need police. People in our world who are determined to have their own way, grip and grab what is not theirs, disrespect human life, etc. need the law because they have not yet begun to live the law of love by loving all other humans. They need Jesus! A person who lives the Great Commandment and its counter part, love your neighbor as yourself, are not going to be causing trouble for anyone. Converting people to live in love preserves society. When humankind live in love, you can leave your doors unlocked.
“If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself,’ you are doing well.” (James 2:8 ESV).
